Patient Management Module

The patient management module is a comprehensive module that allows you manage patients, from taking their VITALS to BOOKING LAB TESTS to CHARGING FOR SERVICES. It is a collection of tools that makes it easy to manage a patient as well as follow up on the patients activities from the various departments the patient interacts with.

The full patient management activities are shown in the Manage Patient section of this documentation. Generally speaking, the patient management page is where you can perform functions specific to a patient. Once you open up the patient page, everything you do on that page applies to the patient in focus.

From the STATUS view (this is the first view when you open the page for the first time) you can see the last set of activities on the patient. You can see the last Vital Signs, the Last and next appointments, the last doctor's notes and other basic and important information on the patient.
If you click on the Patient Medical Records button, you can see the patients medical records for a specified period. You can adjust the start and end dates to get more information on the patient.

On the right column, you will see tools for Charging the patient and posting patient's payments

To charge the patient for a service or item,

1. Click on the collaspe Panel header to open up the tool.
2. Specify the amount to charge the patient.
3. Select the service type.
4. Enter a note in the description box if necessary. 5. Click on the Charge button to save the transaction.
6. You will get a prompt for success or failure.

To Post a patient's payment,

1. Click on the collapse Panel header to open up the tool.
2. Enter the amount to post
3. Select the payment action. e.g. Cash Deposit
4. Enter a description is necessary
5. Click on the Post button to post.
6. You will get a prompt for success or failure.

The left menu bar on the patient page provides a list of menus with which you can perform several important patient activities from bed assignments to prescriptions. We will elaborate on these tasks in the Manage Patient section of this documentation.
